Volunteers Make Our Park Shine

The Grant Park Conservancy and Advisory Council would like to give a big thank you to buildOn and VibeUp for coming out and volunteering with us to paint the rusting and decaying fences along both sides of Columbus Drive between Balbo Drive and Roosevelt Road. These fences protect the 100-plus trees that GPC/GPAC coordinated with the Chicago Park District and CDOT to have planted. This fence painting is a huge project as there are blocks and blocks of decaying fencing. It is a project we started last year and we will be working on it all spring, summer and fall with volunteers organized by GPC/GPAC. A special thanks to buildOn for bringing out the most volunteers for us!
