Volunteer To Beautify Grant Park
Join Chelsey Korus as she volunteers to beautify Grant Park in partnership with the Grant Park Conservancy and Advisory Council, VibeUP and buildOn!
In January 2017 we partnered with local yoga community,VibeUP, to bring Chelsey's AWAKE message to a packed event of 400+ Chicagoans. When we knew Chelsey would be in Chicago for Wanderlust 108 she told us she wanted to connect with this awesome, mindful group to GIVE BACK to the community! We are so thankful VibeUP connected us with the Grant Park Conservancy and are excited to work together with them to help care for the park!
Grant Park is proudly referred to as Chicago's "front yard". It's over 325 acres of land are environmentally, culturally and artistically improved by the Grant Park Conservancy and Advisory Council, non-profit organization with missions to care for the park as it passes from generation to generation. The Conservancy works closely with the Chicago Park District and the general public to provide and help raise private dollars to match public funding, going to improve the green space that has become so dear to Chicago locals and tourists alike. The Conservancy needs volunteers to paint fences that protect trees along Columbus Drive in the park, so that's what we'll be doing. This will be an easy activity that promotes socialization/interaction with each other while we do something practical to help the community.
We've made it easy for you to help out! All you have to do is show up!
The AWAKE Service Projects are generously sponsored by Base Culture who will be providing a gift to each volunteer.
Remember, small things done with great love make a big impact. Register today by emailing boboneill@grantparkconservancy.com to help Chelsey give back to Chicago!
