Earth Day 2017 at Arrigo Park

The Grant Park Conservancy had a very productive Earth Day, 2017 mulching hundreds of trees in Arrigo Park in the UIC community. Urban Prairie Waldorf School did an amazing job! We had almost 200 volunteers come out. Luis Carlos Beltrán, a UIC PhD student gave an informative talk to the 7th and 8th graders about his forest restoration research in Costa Rica and Mexico.
