Will Greenberg of the Chicago Reader explores the context of the PNC "pop-up" branch in Grant Park. On one side are some park users and advocates that believe the PNC branch and the lack of a fromal transparent process that brought it there sets a bad precedent. On the other is the Chicago Park District which works on " maximizing non-tax revenue" and recieved $120,000 for allowing the PNC branch into the Grant Park. "A positive thing about this PNC thing is it opens the discussion of how to deal with pop-ups," O'Neill said.
